Description

Virginia House is an 18th-century house located on the north side of Main Street in the parish of Winster. It is constructed of rubble limestone with gritstone dressings, featuring projecting quoins, coped gables, and ashlar end ridge stacks with moulded caps. The roof is covered with Welsh slate. The building has three storeys and three bays, with single glazing bar sashes set in projecting stone surrounds. The central doorway is framed by a heavily tooled, quoined surround and has a 20th-century glazed door. This house is listed for its group value only.
