Description

Manor Cottage is an early 18th-century house located in Whalton Village. It is constructed of coursed rubble with cut quoins and dressings, topped with a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and is symmetrical with three bays. The central door features three glazed panels and is flanked by 12-pane sash windows set in chamfered surrounds, with 16-pane Yorkshire sashes above. The gable coping is raised and reverse-stepped, and there are stepped-and-banded stacks at the ends. On the left side, there is a renewed 12-pane sash window, and at the rear, there is a later 18th-century outshut.
