Description

The garden walls located to the south of Manor Cottage were likely designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and date from 1908 to 1909. They are constructed from squared stone with cut dressings. The walls are low and feature flat coping, enclosing the garden. There are arched monolithic piers at the central gate on the south side, and an exedra on the west side where the wall incorporates a monolithic pier that leads to the stable yard. These walls are included for their group value.
