Description

The pump housing and trough, dating from the mid to late 19th century, are made from squared gritstone blocks for the housing and solid gritstone for the trough. The housing stands about 2 metres high and features recesses on the north and west sides for the pump handle and spout, both of which are missing. It has a gabled cover stone with roll moulding and a trefoil recess in the gable ends. The trough is attached to the north face of the housing and includes an overflow channel on the north side. Part of the pump mechanism remains inside the housing.
