Description
The building is a range adjoining Yore Mill on the north-west, originally serving as mill offices and now functioning as a cafe and craft shop. It dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century and is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof. The structure has two storeys plus a basement, with the first floor partly obscured by a timber-framed two-storey lean-to extension that connects it to the main mill.
The south-east elevation features a basement that includes a board door set in a quoined surround, a blocked window, and two blocked doorways with ashlar surrounds on plinths. There is also a board door in an ashlar surround on plinths with interrupted jambs. On the ground floor, there is a 12-pane fixed-light window to the right, while the first floor has a 16-pane casement window to the right. The roof is hipped.
At the rear elevation, in the sub-basement, there is a segmental-arched opening from the tail race of Yore Mill. An eaves stack is present. The building is included for its group value.
