Description

Lucker Mill, originally a watermill and now a workshop, likely dates from the late 18th century, although it may incorporate earlier fabric. The building is constructed from random rubble and dressed stone, with a Welsh slate and pantiled roof.

The mill comprises two sections. The original mill is a three-storey, three-bay structure, featuring alternating-block surrounds and quoins. A broad stable-type door is located on the right side. Yorkshire sash windows are present on the ground and first floors, while louvred windows are found on the second floor. The gabled Welsh slate roof has slightly ridged coping and an old brick chimney to the rear. A former granary adjoins the mill to the right; this is a lower, two-storey building with three irregular bays. A section of large squared stone is visible on the left side of the granary, while the remainder is of random rubble with slatted windows. The granary has a steeply-pitched gabled roof with flat coping.
