Description

The milestone at Heads Bank in Aysgarth is made of cast iron and painted white. It has a triangular shape. On the left side, there is a relief of a hand pointing to the right, above the relief lettering that reads 'LEYBURN 7 MILES'. On the right side, there is a relief of a hand pointing to the left, above the relief lettering that reads 'HAWES 10 MILES'. Both the hands and the lettering are painted black.
