Description
The stables and coach-house at Flanders Hall were built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and feature a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high with a loft and consists of three bays. It has quoins at the corners, and the openings are framed with raised ashlar surrounds.
The central carriage opening has leaved board doors set within a segmental arch. On either side, there are board doors below fanlights, which have intersecting glazing bars and are set in round-arched surrounds that include keystones and impost blocks. On the first floor, there are almost square openings, with a two-light casement window in the centre and board shutters in the outer bays.
Above the central bay, the gable features an oculus with decorative glazing bars, and there is a pigeoncote with projecting ledges above that. The gable copings are made of ashlar.
