Description

Burton Bridge is a bridge built in the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble and features a single segmental arch made of two orders of rubble voussoirs. The copings of the parapets are formed from rubble stones set on edge. On the inner side of the downstream parapet, there is ashlar stone with let-in lead letters that read "NYR".
