Milestone. Mid C19. Cast iron. Triangular in plan, with sloping top; about ½ metre high. White low-relief letters on black-painted ground: WEARDALE H D on top; DURHAM 16 MILES on west and STANHOPE 5 MILES on east sides, each with pointing hand above.
