Description

Bombay House is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone, featuring an ashlar plinth, quoins, and dressings. The roof is made of Lakeland slates, with stone gable copings and yellow brick chimneys. The building has two storeys and three windows. There are three steps leading up to a six-panel door with a plain overlight, set within a Tuscan doorcase. The windows are 16-pane sashes set in raised stone surrounds. A wrought iron boot-scraper is located to the left of the door, on the top step. The left return gable has one 16-pane sash window on each floor.
