Description

ASKRIGG MAIN STREET SD 99 SW (north side) 19/12 House and shop of Mr and Mrs Hunt GV II Shop with house above. Dated 1770. Coursed rubble, stone slate roof. 3 storeys, 2 first-floor windows. Central leaved doors in round-arched architrave on plinths with imposts and tripartite keystone inscribed "WT 1770", flanked by C20 plate-glass square bay windows. To right, 4-panel door in round-arched architrave on plinths with imposts and tripartite keystone. Sash windows with glazing bars in architraves. Stack at end right.
