Description

West View Cottage is a pair of late 17th- to early 18th-century houses, now combined into a single dwelling. The construction is of rubble with a stone slate roof. The cottage is two storeys high with three windows on the first floor. A central 20th-century part-glazed door provides access. To the right of the entrance is a nine-pane window and a fire window, both set within chamfered surrounds, all protected by a continuous weathercourse. To the left is a blocked doorway and two windows containing glazing bars. The first floor features a fire window, a window with glazing bars, a casement within a chamfered surround which originally contained a two-light mullion window, and a blocked fire window. Chimneys are located at each end of the building.
