Former Institute. Dated 1861. Coursed rubble, stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 2 x 5 bays. Rusticated hammer-faced quoins. End entry: steps up to 4-panel door in round-arched ashlar quoined doorway in shallow gabled porch. Flanking, narrow round-arched 13-pane windows in ashlar surrounds with small keystones. Hipped roof. Rear elevation: window of 3 round- arched lights with keystones in chamfered surround. Right return: sash window in tooled dripmoulds. Included for group value.
