Description

Garth Cottage is a pair of houses, now combined into a single dwelling, dating to the late 17th century. The construction is painted rubble, with a double Roman tiled roof featuring a coped raised verge on the left side. The cottage has two storeys and a basement. It has four bays with casement windows, some of which have ovolo-moulded mullions and surrounds, others with plain mullions and surrounds, and a few with drip moulds. There are two coped stone gables. A central doorway has been blocked, and a 20th-century door is located in a rear wing.
