Description

No. 18 High Street, also known as The Crown, is a house that incorporates two cottages, located in the village street of Marshfield. It dates from the late 17th century and was altered in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of rubble with freestone dressings and features a double Roman tiled roof, along with ashlar and rendered stacks. It stands two storeys high, with six windows and a central 20th-century door on the ground floor, and four windows on the first floor. The windows are a mix of marginal and multi-pane glazing bar sashes, with two on the upper floor that retain their moulded surrounds.
