Description
This is a barn built in the mid-18th century, located approximately 30 metres to the north-west of Mile House West. It is constructed from rubble with a stone slate roof and has two storeys and three bays, featuring quoins. The barn has a central doorway with chamfered quoining and a curved timber lintel above, which has a drip course. This doorway is now partly infilled with a board door and window. There are three later windows on the ground floor, but no openings on the first floor. The barn has shaped kneelers and moulded ashlar coping. On the left side, near the kneelers, there is the start of a steeper roof profile, possibly intended for thatch, as the ridge of the building appears to have been lowered.
