CARLTON TOWN VILLAGE STREET SE 0684-0784 (north side) 16/88 Coverley Farmhouse, Dale View and railings - II

2 houses, side walls and railings. Mid - late C18 houses, C19 railings. Rubble, coursed to left house, stone slate roof, cast-iron railings. 2 storeys, 2:2 first-floor windows. Left house: raised quoins. Central part-glazed door in ashlar surround with bases and imposts. Sash windows in raised ashlar surrounds. Shaped kneelers, ashlar coping. End stacks. Right house: quoins to right. Central part-glazed door in ashlar surround with imposts. Sash windows in ashlar surrounds. Shaped kneeler and ashlar coping to right. Stack at right end. Right return: chamfered doorway; 2 surrounds of 2-light double-chamfered mullion windows. Side walls to garden overall: rubble, swept and with rendered terminals with sandstone caps of horseshoe-ogee design, one with initials "FAB" and another with date "1865". Low rubble front wall with canted-section ashlar coping supporting cast-iron railings with fleurs-de-lys finials. Along the front of the house-is a very old trimmed pear tree,
