Description
Old Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the late 17th century and early 18th century, with a 20th-century extension to the right. The building is constructed of coursed rubble and features a stone slate roof. It has two storeys and a rear outshut, with four first-floor windows.
There is a 20th-century pent-roofed porch with a glazed door located between the third and fourth bays, which has a chamfered surround to the inner door. On the ground floor, from left to right, there is a 2-light flat-faced mullion window, a 20th-century 2-light double-chamfered mullion window, a 3-light flat-faced mullion window, and a 20th-century 3-light double-chamfered mullion window. On the first floor, from left to right, there is a 2-light double-chamfered mullion window, a 20th-century 2-light double-chamfered mullion window, a 3-light chamfered mullion window, and a 20th-century 3-light double-chamfered mullion window.
The building features shaped kneelers and has stacks at the left end and between the third and fourth bays. The rear of the building retains some original chamfered window surrounds, and on the right return of the outshut, there is a blocked single-light chamfered window surround on the ground floor.
