Description

St Simon's Chapel ruins are the remains of a chapel founded in 1328 by Ranulph Pigot and maintained by Coverham Abbey. The chapel is rectangular in plan, measuring approximately 20 metres long and 6 metres wide. The north wall stands about 2 metres high, while the south wall is approximately 1 metre high. Only the footings of the end walls survive. The structure is built of rubble.
