Description
Dawdy's Farm House is a mid-18th century farmhouse that has been divided into two separate residences. It is constructed of red brick and features a thatched roof. The building is a three-cell house with one and a half storeys, and it includes a single-storey lean-to on the north side and an asbestos cement sheet lean-to on the west side. The entrance facade has three windows and two doors, with a brick plinth and boarded doors. The windows are 19th-century three-light casements with wrought-iron lights, set beneath segmental brick arches. There are two wedge dormers, each with a two-light window featuring wrought-iron casements. Additionally, there is a three-light window in the first floor of the south gable, also with a segmental brick arch. A window below this has been inserted, and the building has parapet brick gables with eaves level platbands, tumbling-in, and tie irons.
