Description

The Old Post Office is an early 19th-century house and shop constructed of red brick with a slate roof. The building is two storeys with a 1½-storey rear outshut. The facade features three windows, with a central entrance consisting of a six-panel door set in a double reveal beneath an elliptical gauged brick arch. The arch spandrel has a radial pattern. Sash windows with glazing bars are set within shallow segmental gauged brick arches. Bracketed eaves and a hipped roof are present, along with two rear stacks. The building is included on the list for its group value.
