Description
The Red Lion Public House is an early 18th-century building located on Halvergate Marsh Road. It is constructed of colourwashed brick and features a thatched roof. There are later extensions to the east and west, which have pantiled roofs. The central section, dating from the 18th century, is 1½ storeys high and has a facade with three windows and a central door. The door is a 20th-century half-glazed design with glazing bars. The windows are three-light with top-hung casements. The west gable has a parapet with brick kneelers, tumbling in, and an end stack. The 19th-century extension to the east is also 1½ storeys and includes an axial stack and a hipped roof. A single-storey lean-to extension to the west is not considered of special interest.
