Description
Church Farmhouse is a 18th-century farmhouse that has been divided into two dwellings. It is constructed of brick and features pantiled roofs. The building has two storeys and six bays of sash windows with glazing bars, although one bay is blocked. There is a former large opening, which spans two bays, located at the north end of the ground floor. The front door is off-centre, consisting of two leaves and is panelled with an eared architrave and a 20th-century flat hood. The first floor windows are surrounded by vitrified headers that create an unusual pattern, possibly intended to give a rusticated effect. The farmhouse has a plain dentil cornice and an off-centre axial stack. The south gable end includes a contemporary two-storey lean-to, which may have served as garderobes. The gables exhibit tumbling-in, and there are later extensions to the north and rear of the building.
