Description
Clippesby Mill is a drainage windpump built in the mid-19th century. It features a four-storey tapering brick tower with a timber weatherboarded cap. The east side has a 20th-century door and one window on each floor above, alternating between the east and west sides. The mill has a boat-shaped cap and petticoat, and the fan cradle is intact. It includes a windshaft, brakewheel, and wallower that drive an upright shaft. Originally, the mill had a scoopwheel, but it has since been converted for residential use.
