Description
The Manor House is a house dating from the 17th century, with possibly an earlier core. It is constructed of red brick, with the ground storey rough cast, and features a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range that is widely spaced. The windows are 19th-century three-light casements with a transom and leaded glazing. The entrance door is off-centre, featuring six panels and a shouldered architrave that supports a pediment on consoles. There is a blocked window opening above the door and a plat band at the first-floor level. An off-centre axial chimney stack is present, and the east gable is parapeted with continuous tumbling-in and moulded brick kneelers, along with an external brick gable stack. Attached to the east gable is a red brick outbuilding that contains a World War II pill box, which was installed to protect the entrance to the Old Yarmouth Road. The house also has a pantiled catslide to the north and a sloping pantiled dormer with a two-light leaded casement.
