Description

Rock Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with later 18th-century cladding and 20th-century restoration and minor extensions to the rear and end. The walls are of Malmstone with brick quoins and cambered arches. The roof is tiled, hipped at the north end, half-hipped at the south, with a rear catslide roof broken by a central 20th-century gable. The east front elevation has two storeys and displays 3 windows above 4. It features early 19th-century casement windows and a plain doorway with a gabled hood supported by brackets. The interior retains massive timber framing in the cross walls and includes a small rear window with diagonal oak mullions, partially obscured by the later catslide roof.
