Description

This early 19th century house, now a shop, is located on the south side of High Street in Lewes. The building is stuccoed and features a platband and a scrolled pediment-parapet. The parapet is inscribed with 'Established 1819', overlooking a slate roof with a stack to the right. It is three storeys high with a two-window front. The windows are sash windows in wide, flat frames, with those on the first floor having cornice-hoods and console-brackets. A later 19th century shopfront is on the right, featuring a double-glazed door and three very large acanthus brackets supporting a cornice hood over the ground floor.
