Description

No 17 on Broad Street is a house and shop dating from the 18th century, which was refronted in the early 19th century. The building is finished in stucco and has a tile roof. It stands two storeys high and features one window. The parapet has coping stones, and there is a moulded band supported by coupled deep-scroll brackets. On the first floor, there are French casements, and a small flat-roofed dormer is present. The shop front, from the 19th century, is a shallow rectangular bay with four lights, and it has a moulded cornice that extends above the doorway on deep ornamental brackets, leading to a half-glazed door.
