Description

No. 30 Broad Street is a house above a shop, built in two parts, with the north side being taller. It dates from the 18th and 19th centuries and is constructed of stucco with a tiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring two windows on the first floor and one window on the ground floor. The roof has two levels, with the higher eaves on the north side adorned with a modillion cornice. Each part of the building includes a hipped-roof dormer; one dormer has casement windows, while the other features a Victorian sash window. On the first floor, the north side has an angular bay window, while the south side has two openings with Victorian sash windows. The ground floor consists of a wide double-fronted shop, which includes a continuous frieze and cornice, and a slightly projecting bay with coupled central doors, although only one is in use.
