Description
Old Bank House, now a bank, dates from the mid-18th century and has early 19th-century alterations. It is constructed of red brick with red brick dressings. The building features moulded cornice bands above the ground and first floors, and a paired bracketed cornice at the coped parapet, which conceals the roof and has a stack on the right side. The structure is three storeys high and has five windows fitted with glazing bar sashes. The entrance is located on the right and consists of a panelled door with an arched overlight set in arched and panelled reveals. There is a deep porch supported by Doric columns and an entablature hood decorated with triglyphs. Flanking the porch are plain railings with vasehead standards on both the left and right sides.
