Description
Numbers 187 and 188 on High Street are a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed of red brick with some brown brick accents. It features a platband above the first floor and a deep flat eaves soffit beneath a slate roof, which has an end stack positioned off-ridge towards the front left. The structure has three storeys and a regular three-window facade, with glazing bar sashes set in segment-headed surrounds. The first-floor windows have open boxes. The ground floor has a wide 20th-century double shop front with paired glazed doors in the center. A flagpole extends from the second floor and rises vertically through the eaves and roof.
