Description

This is an early 19th-century house, now used as a shop, located on the east side of Malling Street in Lewes. The building is stuccoed and has a low-pitched tiled roof with a bracketted wooden eaves cornice. A brick stack is visible at the rear right. The house is three storeys high, originally featuring a single-window front. The second floor retains shallow glazing bar sash windows. A small, splayed oriel window is positioned on the first floor. A 20th-century shopfront occupies the ground floor, incorporating a glazed door to the left and an overlight. An entrance to an alleyway is situated at the extreme left. The front door is surrounded by pilastered woodwork, with a deep frieze and cornice hood.
