Description

No. 8 Malling Street is a house dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is timber-framed and covered in black glazed mathematical tiles, with white mathematical tiled dressings. The left side of the house is tile-hung. It has a plain tiled roof with a brick chimney stack on the right. The building has three storeys and features a regular two-window front, with shallower windows on the second floor. The windows are glazing bar sashes set in open boxes. The entrance is located on the ground floor to the left, featuring a Doric pilastered surround and an open triangular pediment. The entrance includes a panelled door with a radiating fanlight.
