Description

Nos 17 and 19, Malling Street, are a pair of houses dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed of grey headers with red brick quoins and dressings. The building has a bracketed eaves cornice, a twin-span roof covered with plain tiles, end stacks, and a stepped gable parapet on the left side. The three-storey façade has a regular two-window arrangement, with glazing bar sash windows; the windows on the second floor are narrower. All windows have red brick surrounds. The paired central entrances have fluted pilastered wooden surrounds, corniced hoods, panelled doors, and overlights.
