Description

This is an early 19th-century cottage pair located on the west side of Sun Street in Lewes. The cottages are constructed of red and grey brick laid in a chequered pattern, with grey brick used as headers. They have a plain tiled roof and brick stacks positioned on the left and right sides. The cottages are two storeys high with an attic, and feature two windows on each elevation. The ground floor windows are sash windows set within segment-headed surrounds. The central doorways are paired, also with segment-headed surrounds, and have panelled doors; the left-hand door incorporates glazed top panels. The pair is listed for its group value.
