Description
This is an early 19th-century pair of cottages located at 31 and 33 Sun Street in Lewes. The cottages are constructed of red and grey brick laid in a chequered pattern, with grey brick used for the headers. They have a plain tiled roof with chimney stacks positioned on the left and right sides, and two flat-headed dormers are incorporated into the roof. The cottages are two storeys high with an additional attic level, and feature a two-window front. The windows have glazing bars within segment-headed surrounds. A pair of panelled doors are centrally located, sheltered by a flat hood supported by brackets. The cottages are listed for their contribution to the group value of the street.
