Description
Nos 36 and 38 on Sun Street are a pair of cottages built in the early to mid-19th century. They feature a distinctive red and grey brick chequer pattern with grey headers. The cottages have a plain tiled roof with a central ridge stack and two large flat-roofed dormers. They are two storeys high with an attic and have a two-window front, showcasing glazing bar sashes set in brick-dressed surrounds. The ground floor windows have segment heads. The entrance to No 36 is through a boarded door on the left, which is shared with No 34, and there is a panelled door to the left of the right-hand window. These cottages are included for their group value.
