GV II

Pair of gate piers and attached gate. Mid C19 piers, late C19 gate. Ashlar sandstone; painted wooden gate. Large square-section piers with cavetto-moulded plinths, plain shafts and boldly overhanging cornices surmounted by depressed ogee pedestals with large ball finials. Gate: vertical slats beneath 2 mid-rails linked by crossed and vertical bars; 3-leaf iron finials above. Stiles curl over onto the top rail.
