Entrance gate piers and attached walls. Mid C19. Coursed limestone with dressed sandstone copings and ashlar piers. A pair of gate piers flank the drive to Holme Hall (qv) between East Lodge (qv) and West Lodge (qv); attached quadrant walls of approximately one metre in height return to line Holme Lane in front of each lodge. Gate piers: chamfered plinths sunken-panelled shafts with splayed inner returns; bands and ogee caps with large ball finials. Walling has round-edged triangular copings; simpler ball-finialled end pier on left.
