Description
This is a cowhouse and cartshed located approximately 10 yards west of Leehouse Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from coursed and squared limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings, and has a plain tile roof with coped verges. The building is aligned east-west and faces south. It has two storeys with an eaves band and consists of four bays. There are doors to the right, right of centre, and left of centre, along with a blocked cart entrance to the left that has inserted windows. Additional windows are located in the centre and to the right. To the right, there is a square entrance with a boarded door. A single-storey lean-to extension is attached to the left, which also has a boarded door. Inside, the roof features raking struts that extend from the tie beam to the principals.
