Description
This is a milepost located 300 yards south of the junction of New Road and Chadwick Hill, dating from the late 18th century. It is made of stone and has a wedge shape with a rounded top. The northeast face of the milepost indicates a distance of 6 miles to Bakewell, while the southwest face shows a distance of 11 miles to Ashbourne.
