Description
The former coach house, stables, and accommodation for grooms is located approximately 30 yards northwest of The George. This building dates from the mid-19th century and is constructed of coursed and squared limestone rubble, featuring chiselled and hammer-dressed ashlar quoins and dressings. The roof is made of clay tiles with coped verges, and there are ashlar integral end stacks on the west side and a ridge stack at the east of the center.
The structure has two storeys and four windows. The first floor has glazing bar sash windows, while there are small fixed-light windows to the left and right of the center. In the center, there are blocked coach entries with 20th-century casements inserted. A boarded stable door is located to the left of the center, with another boarded door to the right. There is a door on the first floor to the left, which is accessed by a flight of steps, and another flight of steps extends up the right gable end to a first-floor boarded door.
