Description

Chapel Cottage is a farm house dating from 1763, as indicated by the inscription "P I A 1763". It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings, and has a clay tile roof with coped verges and kneelers. The roof also features hammer-dressed ashlar end stacks and limestone rubble ridge stacks. The house is two storeys high and originally had a 2:1 window arrangement, featuring two-light casements to the first floor and four-light casements to the ground floor. A catslide outshut is present on the right-hand bay. A 20th-century door sits centrally, with a continuous dripstone above the door and the ground floor windows. A low extension to the left includes a board door on the right and a casement window on the left.
