Description

This is a milepost located on the south side of Bakewell Road in the parish of Taddington, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a circular shaft with a broader circular body. The milepost has raised bead moulding and a domed top, which is inscribed around the top with "LONDON 155." The remaining information that was once painted on the milepost is no longer visible.
