Description
The Ashford Bobbin Mill, West Building, is a bobbin mill constructed around 1870 and restored around 1979. It is built from coursed limestone rubble with punched gritstone dressings and quoins. The roof is slate with overhanging eaves and features wooden ridge finials. There is a stone stack on the rear wall. The building has two storeys and three bays. The central entrance has a flush doorcase with a plank door, and there are windows with punched stone surrounds on either side. Above the entrance, there are two similar 2-light mullion windows. On the east and west sides, there are metal waterwheels. The building is listed for its historical interest.
