Description

The Bridge at The Rookery is an 18th-century structure located on the south side of Buxton Road in the parish of Ashford in the Water. It is built from coursed limestone rubble with gritstone dressings. The bridge features four arches, including two central segmental arches and narrow, stiled, semi-circular headed arches on either side. Above the arches, there are rubble parapet walls that splay outwards at each end, topped with square sectioned copings. A wooden gate is present on the south side of the bridge.
