Description

The gate piers and attached walls located to the east of the Riverside Hotel date from the early 19th century. They are constructed of gritstone and limestone rubble. On either side, there are rusticated piers topped with shallow pyramidal caps. To the north, there is a narrow section of limestone walling and another pair of rusticated gate piers with similar double plank gates. To the south, the structure features a limestone rubble wall with flat gritstone copings. This listing is included for its group value only.
