Description

The building is a dovecote located to the east of the Riverside Hotel, dating from the late 19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone and gritstone rubble, topped with a plain tile roof that features overhanging eaves and gabled dormers on all four sides. At the top, there is a wooden octagonal cupola. The dovecote is single-storey and has a circular plan, with a flush window on the west side and a plank door on the north side. To the east, there is an attached wall with rubble copings. This structure is included in the listing for its group value.
