Description
Honeysuckle Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from limestone and gritstone rubble, featuring gritstone dressings and quoins. The roof is made of stone slate and is set on two levels, with a stone gable end stack located in the center of the building. The cottage has two storeys, with a lower section to the east and irregular fenestration.
The entrance features a 19th-century plank door set beneath a punched stone lintel, leading to a two-light recessed and chamfered mullion window to the east. To the west, there is a 20th-century casement window under a 19th-century punched stone lintel. Further to the west, there is a three-light recessed and chamfered mullion window, with a fourth light now blocked, and a single light recessed and chamfered window, both fitted with 20th-century casements. Above, roughly in the center of the building, is a 19th-century window. To the east, there is another recessed and chamfered mullion window with a 19th-century casement. In the west gable wall, there is a three-light recessed and chamfered mullion window on the first floor.
